Local Pickup & Returns for Small Sellers in Pleasanton
Sell from home in the Tri-Valley? Your local buyers can pick up orders and drop off returns at our Pleasanton counter. No shipping, no home address.
If you sell from home, whether on Etsy, eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Instagram or your own website, your local buyers can now pick up their orders and drop off their returns at our counter in Pleasanton. They skip the shipping cost and the wait. You skip the porch handoffs, the drop-off runs and putting your home address on the internet. We run the pickup and returns desk, so you can get back to your product.
Your front door shouldn't be the pickup counter
Most small sellers start the same way. A buyer lives ten minutes away, so you offer local pickup. Then your address is sitting in a stranger's messages, you're watching the window for a car you don't recognise, and your afternoon bends around someone else's "running late." A return means doing it all again, or asking the buyer to box it up and pay to post it back across town.
That works when it's one order a month. It stops working the week you get busy, which is exactly the week you need your time for making, sourcing and listing.
๐ฆ How it works
- Drop off your orders in person. Bring them packed and labelled with the buyer's name and your order number. One trip can cover a whole batch.
- We log every package in. Each one is recorded when it arrives and again when it leaves, so there is never a question about where an order is.
- Tell your buyer it's ready. Send them our store location and their order number. That's all they need.
- They collect it at the counter. We check the name and order number before anything is handed over.
- Returns work in reverse. Your buyer drops the item off with us in person, we log it and hold it for you, and you pick it up on your next visit.
โ ๏ธ A pickup and returns counter, not a mailing address. This service does not let you use our address for your business, and we can't accept packages mailed or shipped to us for you. Anything sent to our address for this service will be returned to the sender. If you need a business address, or need packages delivered to you from outside the local area, ask us about our mailbox program.
๐ธ Cheaper than shipping, for you and your buyer
Shipping an order across town costs the same kinds of things as shipping it across the country: a label, a box sturdy enough for a carrier's sorting belts, filler, tape, and a trip to drop it off. Somebody pays for all of it, either your buyer at checkout or you out of your margin. For a buyer who lives nearby, none of it gets them anything.
| Shipping it | Pickup at our counter | |
|---|---|---|
| Postage | Paid on every order | None |
| Packaging | Built to survive a carrier | Just enough to carry it home |
| Your time | Print, pack, drop off, answer "where is it?" | One drop-off for the whole batch |
| Buyer's wait | Days in transit | Ready once you've dropped it off |
| Porch theft and transit damage | A risk on every order | Handed over in person |
| Returns | Buyer boxes it and pays to send it back | Buyer drops it off locally |
That difference is also a selling point. A nearby buyer comparing your listing with one from a seller three states away now has a reason to choose you: no shipping charge, and the order in their hands sooner. Pickup from a real storefront also feels a lot more established than "meet me in a parking lot."
๐ Faster, in both directions
Orders reach buyers sooner. There is no transit time. Once your order is on our shelf, your buyer can come and get it, often the same day you dropped it off, instead of watching tracking updates for days.
Returns come back sooner. A shipped return can spend days in the mail before you can inspect it, refund it or relist it. A local return is on our shelf as soon as your buyer drops it off. You collect it on your next visit and get it back on sale while it still matters.
Nobody waits at home. Your buyer comes by during our opening hours, six days a week including Saturdays. You don't need to be home, and they don't have to fit around your schedule.
โ Who it's for
- Makers and crafters selling handmade work from home, like candles, jewelry, ceramics and prints
- Resellers and collectors on online marketplaces
- Small online shops with a growing list of local customers
- Local businesses without a storefront: home studios, side businesses, market and pop-up sellers
๐ฆ When you sign up, we'll go over package sizes and what we can and can't hold, so there are no surprises at the counter.
A plan for a few orders or for many
Whether you hand off a few orders a month or a lot of them, we have a plan that fits, and your buyers pay nothing to collect. Pickups are held for a few days, so ask your buyers to come in promptly. That keeps the shelf moving for everyone.

Serving sellers across the Tri-Valley
Our counter is in Pleasanton, a short drive for buyers in Dublin, Livermore, San Ramon and Danville. Returns are already part of our everyday work: we take in carrier drop-offs and online-store returns at the counter every day. Now we're opening that same desk to local sellers, starting with a small group of shops so each one gets proper attention.
If a buyer is too far away to collect, we can ship it for you instead, including to family and customers overseas.
